“CONTRAST” A creative black-and-white exploration that celebrates the quiet intensity and refined beauty of monochrome art.

This exhibition pays homage to the classic tradition of black and white while inviting viewers to consider its deeper symbolism. Without the presence of color, form becomes more pronounced, emotion rises to the surface, and the meaning within each piece grows sharper.

At the same time, the exhibition reflects on “black and white” as a way of thinking—a lens through which people interpret clarity, contrast, identity, and truth. These works challenge the idea of absolutes and encourage us to look beyond simple binaries to discover nuance, depth, and possibility.

How do you see black and white? As contrast or connection? As limitation or liberation?

Through photography, painting, and mixed media, this exhibition offers a space to reflect on the power of simplicity and the complexity that exists within it—revealing how black and white can both ground us and provoke us to see more.

Application / Eligibility Requirements: 

• Open to artist, 18 or older.
• Works created through the use of artificial intelligence (AI) are not eligible. 
• Submitted works must be original
• Black & White works only
• All artwork exhibited must be professional and suitable for art in public spaces.
• Two-dimensional works must be prepared for hanging.
• Three-dimensional works welcome and accompanied by its own pedestal unless size fits our display. 3-D works to be displayed on a wall must be suitably prepared for hanging.

Art files must be labeled as follows… name_title_size

Artist may submit up to three works.
